Boko Haram Reject Amnesty, Insist On Islamic System Of Government

The members of the Yusufiyya sect popularly known as Boko Haram said that they will not accept the amnesty, which the Governor Elect Alhaji Kashim Shettima promised to offer them.

The spokesman of the sect who gave his name as Abu Dardam in a BBC Hausa programme monitored in Maiduguri, stressed that their reason of not accepting the amnesty is that they don’t recognise democracy as a form of government.

The group also faulted the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying that justice can only be found in the Holy Quran, that is Shariya system of government.

Reacting the Borno state Commissioner of Home Affairs Information and Culture Mr. Hyeladi Inuwa Bwala, appealed to the group to see reason and embrace dialogue with a view to restore lasting peace in Borno state.

He said most wars and crisis in the world were settled mostly through dialogue, and therefore called on the group to see wisdom in the amnesty offer and come to a round table for dialogue.

Nollywood Actress Mercy Aigbe Disgraced By Her Husband

Sola Fajobi, the guy that organises NextMovieStar and Supermom has just floated 2 TV stations, V Channel and Oodua TV. So yesterday, he hosted Mercy Aigbe, its was a recorded TV Show for Oodua Amounmaworan (TV). It was a star studded show attended by Mercy's husband and friends.

So slightly before the show ended, Mercy just vanished and everybody started looking for her including her hubby, Lanre Gentry.

After like an hour or so, the hubby forced the MC to announced that he was looking for his wife and when that didn't work, he stood up a with fierce look and began causing a scene..when it was obvious he meant business, they later took him to a room where his darling wife who has arrived the venue in a short black dress with her back bare had changed to a night gown!!!

Enraged hubby Lanre dragged her out in the night gown and threw her into his SUV and drove angrily out of the venue whilst shocked onlookers looked on!''

As you read this now, Mercy' s car a Nissan Solaria is in front of Sola Fajobi's Troy Lounge in Ogba and no tone word has been heard of what might have transpired last night.

The question now is..Why did Mercy change into a night gown in a room whilst her hubby was in the recording room watching the show being recorded? Why did the couple arrive the venue in different cars?...To pose?

What could have happened? Was the actress in the room making a movie unknown to the hubby? I hope she is okay sha and has not been pummelled by hubby indoors last night.

Buhari Commends Jonathan On Boko-Haram Amnesty Committee

Former military Head of State retired Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday gave a rare commendation to the Federal Government for setting up a committee on the fundamentalist Boko Haram sect.

The Federal Government on April 4, said that a committee would be set up to look into the possibility of granting amnesty to members of Boko Haram, who had been waging a bloody campaign against the country in recent years.

Buhari gave the commendation while addressing newsmen in Abeokuta.

The former head of state who was in Ogun to commiserate with Mrs Hannah Awolowo on the death of her son, Oluwole Awolowo, described the amnesty gesture for Boko Haram as a welcome development.

“It is good that the Federal Government has set up a committee on amnesty. I have not seen the terms of reference but it is a good step in the right direction.”

He described the decision as a bold step capable of restoring peace to troubled areas of the country, adding, “whatever that will bring peace to us as a people, we should do”.

Buhari who noted that there had been precedence on the issue of amnesty, recalled that the former Niger Delta militant group once benefitted from a similar gesture.

“This is not the first time amnesty will be granted to a violent group. You remember it was granted to the militant group in the Niger Delta during the time of late President Musa Yar’adua.”

Buhari, a former presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in the 2011 general elections, was accompanied by Mr Tunde Bakare, his running mate during the elections.

The CPC chieftain, who had earlier addressed party supporters, said he was in the state to condole with the Awolowo’s over the death of Oluwole.

He said that he would also go to Ekiti, to commiserate with the government over the death of Mrs Funmilayo Olayinka, the Deputy Governor of the state who died on
